| Enduring the Massacre |
Dyscarnate is something. This British Death Metal was quite brutal as well as usual death metal band.
Really it's something for me. With some groovy riffs and brutal drum pattern made this band an unique band. But, you know.... Its like deathcore too. But not much, just about 20% perhaps. As we know as usual death metal band always gives some badass guitar lead in almost every song. This band didn't have it, but they were quite smart for making a good riff in every song.
Well, here we are....
This was first album of Dyscarnate. Known as "Enduring the Massacre". Same as the album name, yes this album was a Massacre...
I prefer this album to you if you wanted some fused riff between groovy and modern riff. The quality of this album really good. Vocal, guitars, and drum was balance. But not as death metal sound as usual, it's raw... Literally, I merely like 'low sound'. But it still great album for me.
First song was 'An Axe to Grind'. Really, mate... This song really good. This was one of my favorite song on this album. Fast, but has some dum tak dum tak dum tak drum styles that motivates me to grind my ex with an axe (this is serious). I prefer you to hear this firstly. 'Despised and Disgraced' was cool too. Really groovy... then would give us some fast riff and gentle growl. Not my favorite song, but it still great song. It gave us a great vibe between modern (it also sounded little bit technical) and death metal riffs. Great fused. Just like Goku and Vegeta. 'Extinguishing the Face of Heaven' really good song, it's so brutal and also groovy. Really enjoyed this song (especially with a cup of coffee). I loved its chorus. It fast song, but would gives us nice riff, trust me. It also one of my favorite song. Really, man! It's so cool song. After that, 'Yielding the Iron Fist' really nice song. Fast and brutal as usual.
'Judecca' was the fifth song on this album. Really, man. It's so cool. Really great song, it has perfect dynamic which has absolutely perfect place for fast, groove, and nice chorus. This is my 1st song on this album, and 'An Axe to Grind' behind it. The special thing of this song was it's a simple song. But that 'simple' song really showed us great impact on this album. It's really great. Appreciated, dude.
'The Vitruvian Plan' also a great song. It has catchy riff too. You wouldn't bore hear that. 'Those who Trespass Against Us' and 'Enduring the Massacre' was nice songs too, also not bad song too. It was really Dyscarnate. All I can say, there is no bad song on this album. All songs have its own thing.
For you who wants different and new look of death metal, I prefer Dyscarnate was the choice.
